The Compound Gallery, Oakland

Here is my second attempt to make black and white images of local businesses that I find interesting. The Compound Gallery in Oakland is an art space that offers studio or locker access for ceramics, silkscreening, printmaking, woodworking, and letterpress for a monthly fee. I was really impressed by the active gallery space combined with the interdisciplinary facilities available. Here are a few black and white images that I made touring the gallery. A few cell phone snapshots made it in here as well. Untitled

a really small gallery exists inside (actually rotates artists!)

Untitled one of the coolest things that the compound does is their "Art in a box" campaign, which sends out a monthly piece of art by different artists to subscribers.

Thanks for letting me take a tour and shoot.
