Mt. Whitney

A few of us climbed Mt. Whitney over Labor day weekend. Very challenging and very rewarding. Instead of the typical route to the top, we headed up the Mountaineers route, which is essentially a straight shot to the top (see photos). I was not prepared for such a rigorous climb, and the altitude was very real, but we all made it. The basecamp, perfect weather, and lack of people made it totally worth it.
